No. 16
After the second World War Agfa, the German manufacturer of photographic film and cameras, was rebranded as Ansco for the American market. This unusual translucent chromogenic print on acetate was backlit for promotional purposes. [selectedpictures.com was unable to promote Issue No. 9 on Facebook because the image shows a naked female breast or two.]
It’s worth noting that the familiar red-shift visible in all Agfa color transparencies and prints from the 1930’s through the 1950’s was not corrected for the U.S. Market.
