Another image from the same photo session as "Central Park Snow Scene #57," this one looking south towards the Plaza Hotel at left.  On the reverse of the print the date is inscribed as December 20, 1948 and the snowfall is measured at "19.6."

Though tri-color carbros were promoted as a means of displaying "natural color," often the commercial or show business subjects of the pictures required a kind of vibrancy not often seen in nature.  In this cityscape shot near the end of day, the colors actually appear subtle and muted.
