Photographer Ralph Bartholomew (1907-1985) was known for the lyrical narratives he created for his commercial work. The principal survey of his photography is a book titled Retail Fictions (1998.)
This is an uncropped photo. Imperfections, adhesive residue, and the photographer's gray-scale tool are interesting visual features that in some modern photographs might seem intentional.
