Pallas is often quoted as saying: "I never took a picture I wasn't paid for." and in 1958 he was paid by a local Buick dealer to photograph fresh 1959 Buicks all over Chicago. Though these photos have a deadpan quality, they are also clever and and fun.
Pallas was a co-founder of The Center for Creative Photography in Tuscon, Arizona and Gamma Labs (now Gamma Legends*) photo agency in Chicago.
