The quality of this tri-color carbro is so impressive, it's unfortunate that information about the photographer is as yet unavailable or unknown. It was purchased on eBay years ago and a dubious source volunteered a story that Gerhard Wichura was a recent emigre to New York and had submitted this print to Vogue's M.F. Agha as an example of his work. Agha's critique, it was said, was so scathing that the photographer either gave up photography or ran upstairs and jumped off the roof. This tale is either ridiculous or tragic.
