A coved cupboard painted in red lacquer for majolica china, glass, brass decanters and serving dishes is an example of an eclectic style pervasive in modern interior design during the 1930's. The contents are as confusing as is the style of the cupboard – quaint and brazen at once. The lighting is ferociously bright as Costain struggled to get a readable exposure for the color separation negatives.
